It’s not about how you look, it’s about how you FEEL!

My Dad was an Eating Disorders consultant, and he always used to say to me, when I said ‘I feel fat’, that ‘Fat is not a feeling’.

He’s right, but what are feelings are feeling out of breath, feeling cumbersome, and feeling uncomfortable…

I just put my best undies on to take some ‘Before’ shots for my fitness journey. Some of them came out alright! But it’s all to do with angles innit?

Regardless of how I look in a photo, I FEEL HORRIBLE. (Well, I actually feel much better already now after a week of healthy eating and nearly 10 weeks sober.)

Diet culture is grim. Aspiring to be skinny is aspiring to be unhealthy. But sometimes you want to make a positive change, not just for vanity’s sake, but so you feel more comfortable and HEALTHY!

I am atm the heaviest I’ve ever been, after a year of antipsychotics and inhaling chocolate like there’s no tomorrow. I cannot wait to spend this summer in shorts, without my legs uncomfortably rubbing together and sweating like a pig. Not because I want to look sexy or whatever – I don’t really give too much of a fuck about that. I just want to FEEL better.

Do it for yourself, not for others.
